How It Works

Every System
Starts With Your Water.

We don't recommend anything until we've tested it. The free in-home water test is the first step — it's also where we earn your trust.

Genius Water Co.

Free In-Home Water Test

We come to your home at a time that works for you and test the water right there on your counter — no lab wait, no return trip, no charge. You see the readings as they come off the meter, and we walk you through what each number means for your specific home. The visit is genuinely no-pressure: even if the numbers say you don't need a system, we'll tell you.

02

What We Measure

Hardness in grains per gallon, chloramines or chlorine (whichever your utility uses), total dissolved solids, iron and manganese for well water, hydrogen sulfide when there's a smell issue, pH, and other parameters depending on your source. We check city water and private well water differently because they behave differently, and we bring the right test kits for both.

03

Recommend Only What's Needed

Once the numbers are in front of us, we recommend the system that actually solves what your home has — and nothing more. Some Triangle homes only need a softener. Some need carbon and RO. Some wells need a full stack for iron and sulfur. We size the equipment to your household, explain the trade-offs, and give you a straightforward path forward.

04

Professional Installation

Our own team handles the install — usually 2 to 4 hours, typically in the garage or utility area where your main line comes in. We tie into your plumbing to code, set the bypass valve, configure the system, verify performance, and clean up completely. You get a full walk-through before we leave so you know exactly what you have and how it works.

05

Aftercare & Support

A properly installed system is largely hands-off, but you're not on your own. Softeners need periodic salt, carbon media has a service life, and RO membranes and pre-filters eventually get changed. We handle the maintenance schedule, answer questions when they come up, and stand behind the install long after the truck leaves the driveway.

What We Test For

Specific numbers. Honest read.

During your in-home test we measure hardness (calcium and magnesium), chloramines, iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, pH, total dissolved solids, and other relevant parameters depending on whether you're on city water or well water. You'll see the readings, we'll explain what they mean for your home, and you'll know exactly why we'd recommend (or not recommend) any particular system.
